2 May 2013 – our second major User Group meeting in Aberdeen.
This was attended by all of the client Focal Points, integrity managers and other important users. We previewed our vision for what will become ONE version5 (skipping v4 because it is already implemented as a result of all the ongoing upgrade implementations!).
This took the form of a live preview of the now re-skinned ONE with it’s new look, which is a radical overhaul of the interface and core functionality, planned for implementation later this year.
Exceptionally valuable feedback was received on this, and it was all positive: some relief but it validates all we have learned as a company over the last few years and we know we are definitely on the right track for the future.
There was also an excellent airing of views – good and bad – about ONE as it is just now. These were boiled down to common generic upgrades as a result of the group discussions so we have a list of improvements for the next 6 to 12 months that will make everyone’s life a bit easier and using ONE a smoother experience. Most of the upgrades will be incorporated into ONE version5 development , with some to be carried out on v3/4 as soon as possible.
Then we all went for curry, beer(s) and several recollections of ‘when I was a lad…’. Most unfortunate that Billy & Ian couldn’t make it and defend themselves!
